Week 51 - 2024

🚀 2024 < 2025

2024 is almost over, and like so many other years, it feels like it has "flown by." The experience of time is a strange and subjective thing. It's strange to think that I've already been with you for 5 months. I see Lambda as a strong unit, with many experienced contributors who are strong in their fields and strive to contribute to our shared Bouvet culture. Thank you 💙 for all the contributions you have made in 2024, to the teams, the deliveries to customers, within the unit, and beyond the professional aspects!

It's inspiring to be with you as a unit, and I look forward to seeing how 2025 will be shaped by all of us. The year ahead looks to be an exciting one in terms of recruitment (even though we are losing Tommy and Joakim 😭), business development, projects, and not least the development of the professional environment.

🌴 Enhetstur (BU-trip) 2025

There will be some changes next year regarding the unit trip. It has been decided to move the trip to the fall (Sept/Oct). This is because spring is often challenging with many public holidays, as well as generally higher travel pressure. Looking forward to plan for a trip together with you in 2025!

📊 Business / Forretning

As communicated last week, I had a meeting with Kolumbus related to AppSec. Not surprisingly, they did very little in terms of security in their development processes. Although the order was to demonstrate Snyk, it was a good meeting in terms of explaining that security in the SDLC (AppSec) is much more than just buying a scanning tool like Snyk. Victor Prestholm (Account Manager for Kolumbus) and I will follow up with Kolumbus in the new year. I feel positive vibes that Kolumbus will realize they need support to implement AppSec into their processes.
