Week 37 - 2025

👶🏻 First – Congratulations to Ole Anders on baby number 2 – Livi! She was born last Friday, September 5th, and the whole family is doing well!

🍁 - Autumn is well underway, and the days and weeks are flying by. Now there are only 2 workweeks left until our Barcelona trip! Those of you joining the trip should have received a link to the program via email, and the tickets are in the same location previously shared with those traveling → OneDrive - Tickets.

🙎🏼‍♂️ - Recruitment for the Lambda unit continues, but it's slower than before. Good candidates are few and far between, which is quite typical in a market that’s cooler than it used to be. People are holding onto their jobs, which is understandable, and it takes a lot for them to consider moving. This isn’t unusual, as our industry is somewhat cyclical. Please remember to tip us off if you know any good candidates who might be interested in joining Bouvet.

We are currently 23 employees (including myself), and will be 22 in October when Fabian leaves us. The goal of reaching 25 employees in 2025 remains, but it’s clearly a challenge this late in the year.

  • Knut Anders is on paternity leave until October
  • Ole Anders is currently at home awaiting his second child
  • Rebecca will return from leave in February next year

📆 - Next week, on September 16th, we have our Q3-2025 unit meeting with lunch. Please remember to sign up so the lunch order can be reasonably accurate. Only 9 people signed up as of September 12th at 07:00. More should be able to attend! Link to Event

🏢 - As you know, I’m involved in a smaller assignment (50%) with Equinor, in the Cyber Security Awareness team. The agreement is that I’ll contribute through 2025. It’s important to me that this doesn’t affect my attention to you, my colleagues in Lambda. I want to ensure you still have access to my time, get answers to your questions, etc. Some close-up conversations will be adjusted/moved as a result of the assignment, but I hope it’s okay that some of these are rescheduled. In this assignment, I’m at Equinor’s offices Tuesdays after 11, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Let me know if you feel this is disruptive in any way.

Thank you for the great effort you put in for the business unit and Bouvet every single day!
