Week 25 - 2025¶
🍦 It might be fair to say that summer has officially started today – especially since the ice cream freezer is now open! We’re already 6 months into 2025, and as shown at the unit meeting this week, the numbers are looking good. There’s a fantastic effort being made in Lambda 🙌 and across all the units in our business area (System Development 2).
🙋 In terms of assignments, there’s been a bit of rotation lately, as some have also chosen to leave the company (make of that what you will). The 12-month turnover rate is currently at 11.4%, which is still low for the type of company we are, but ideally, we’d like it to be under 10%. In the past 12 months, 110 people have been hired at Bouvet and 97 have left. So, there is still net growth.
📦 There’s good momentum in deliveries, and we’ve seen a slight increase in market inquiries over the past 2–3 weeks. It will be exciting to see if this increase continues into the fall. When the oil price has risen 22% in just one month, we know this positively impacts our region and industry.
📈 This fall (starting 4th August), I’ll be helping Equinor with an activity related to “Cyber Security Awareness.” Bouvet has established a small team to assist with various activities aimed at raising awareness of threats towards the company, this to drive behavioral change. This means that from August 4th, I’ll be spending 50% of my time on this assignment – essentially acting as a consultant for Equinor. I’ll start with 50% involvement, and we’ll see going forward if that can be reduced once the activity gains momentum.
Many of us are about to head off on vacation, and I myself start mine today and will be back in the office on July 14th. I’ll try to check email, Slack messages, etc., as little as possible – but if something comes up, feel free to send a message on Slack or email.
