🎬 Movie Day¶
There are still spots available for the pre-premiere on May 21st at 19:00 for the movie "Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning". We've also opened registration for the FO group System Development 1, so now there are only about 34 spots left. Jump in if you have the chance!
📄 CV¶
There has been an initiative to improve the quality of CVs at Bouvet. Our CVs are important as they are frequently used in major proposals to showcase the expertise we have in the company. Therefore, it’s important for us—and actually a requirement—that our CVs are always up to date. There’s also a specific format we try to follow (see the examples in the links below).
Please take some time to review and update your own CV so that it is comprehensive and follows the “template” shown in the examples. A key point here is that we need to describe what we did in the projects we’ve been part of—not just keywords, but full sentences explaining our contributions.
Here are some tips and examples.
If we were to highlight a good example of how we want a CV to look in Lambda, take a look at Sara’s CV. It’s 100% aligned with the format we’re aiming for.
📊 Market/New assignments¶
We’re noticing that things are a bit quieter than usual. Some requests are coming in, but typically from May through summer, the market slows down for new inquiries. However, we do have a proposal going out to Kolumbus, where they want a full review of their architecture and the state of the systems they’ve developed (Full technical assessment).
Kolumbus has traditionally used many consulting firms for their projects, with a “free-for-all” approach to languages and technologies—and now they’re realizing they don’t have a clear overview.
We believe they’re moving toward a larger enterprise agreement with maybe one or two consulting firms, instead of playing them off against each other. This trend seems to be a result of some leadership changes within Kolumbus. We hope to win this bid, as it would strategically position us for more assignments going forward and allow us to showcase the breadth of expertise we have at Bouvet.
