Week 15 - 2025

We have already reached Easter 2025 🐣 !

These past few weeks, "medarbeidersamtaler" have been my main focus, along with looking for new opportunities for the new hires who have joined us. In our FO (System Development 2), Victor Prestholm is stepping down as leader and leaving Bouvet. Victor has worked at Bouvet since 2020 and has recently led the Nova unit, which offers consultants with expertise in system development and game development. The person taking over the leadership of Nova is Nadia Reinertsen.

Last week, Thomas K. and others conducted a CTF in Futurm. This was a very good setup, with high engagement among the participants. It was very nice to solve these small tasks that take you back to understanding bits'n'bytes and much more. Posted some pictures of the event here.

As mentioned earlier, there will be a PROFESSIONAL marathon in May. This program is now available on the event page. Search for "MaiFag" and you will get a list of the relevant events.

🏢 Exit strategy

An interresting discussion in the market right now is related to the global events we are seeing. You have probably noticed that several companies and countries see that they are too dependent on digital services from the USA. The discussion about what is the companies "Exit strategy" is bubbling up, and Tekna had an informative gathering about the dilemma earlier this week. It is nice to see that the new hires are now getting assignments. Åsmund will contribute to the WFM (Workforce Management) solution that Bouvet won for AkerBP a week ago. John is joining the integration team for AkerBP and Sara is starting in the CDF (Cognite) team for AkerBP. No new recruitments are happening right now, as the focus has been on securing assignments for those who have already joined us.

Upcoming events 🎉

Next week, there will probably be fewer people in the office, as many take the whole Easter week off. I myself will take Wednesday off but will be at work on Monday and Tuesday.
